Getting started
What is the difference between the Platform and Services?
The Platform is the Testnir workspace your team uses to test: API testing, page reviews, captures, and AI-assisted drafting. Services are testing work done by Testnir specialists, such as manual testing, automation, or a dedicated QA team. They are separate offers.
Do I need to buy both?
No. You can use the Platform without buying services, and you can engage our testers without a platform subscription. If you want both, tell us when you book a demo and we will plan them together.
How do I get started?
Book a demo and choose what you are interested in. For the Platform, we will walk you through the workspace and how your team would use it. For Services, we will discuss your project and agree a scope before any work begins.
Platform
Which platform features are available today?
API testing, live page reviews, captures, accessibility contrast checks, AI drafting, request timing, and team workspaces are available today. Each Product page lists the tools behind the capability and any scope limits.
Does the AI replace testers?
No. AI drafts test cases, bug reports, and request reviews for a person to check, edit, and approve. It helps testers work faster, and it does not guarantee defect-free software.
Which AI models can I use?
You can connect your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, or GitHub Models. AI requests go to the provider you choose.
Which tools does Testnir integrate with?
Bug reports can be filed to Jira, Linear, and GitHub, and scheduled test runs can notify Slack or Discord. We list only integrations that work today.
Services
How is a services engagement scoped?
We start with a discovery conversation, then agree in writing what will be tested, how, by when, and what you will receive. Submitting an inquiry is not a contract, and no work starts until the scope is agreed.
What kinds of engagements do you offer?
Fixed-scope projects, time-based work, monthly retainers, and dedicated testers or SDETs with agreed capacity. Larger or unusual needs are scoped individually.
What do you need before security testing?
Written authorization to test the systems in scope, agreed rules of engagement, and a contact during testing. We only test systems you own or are authorized to test.
Pricing and billing
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan is for evaluating Testnir: one user, a personal workspace, and small monthly allowances for API requests and evidence. AI features work with your own AI key; Testnir credit starts on Starter. It is meant for trying the product, not for unlimited production use.
What counts toward my plan limits?
Each API request sent through Testnir counts as one request, each saved schedule counts toward your scheduled runs, and each reviewed site is one UI testing project. AI drafting on Testnir credit uses your plan's credit; drafting on your own key does not. Limits reset monthly. UI test runs will count once UI test automation is available; it is coming soon and nothing is charged for it today.
How is AI usage handled?
Every plan lets you bring your own key for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, and other providers, and paid plans include Testnir credit for members who have not added one. The Free plan uses your own key only. Team workspaces can require personal keys or turn Testnir credit off. Larger needs on Business plans can be quoted or priced by usage.
How do I buy a paid plan?
Self-serve checkout is coming soon. Until then, choosing a paid plan starts a short conversation, and we set up your workspace and confirm the price and billing terms in writing.
Which currency are prices in, and do they include tax?
Prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes depend on where you are and are confirmed before you are charged.
Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel?
Yes. Before any change takes effect we show the price difference, the new limits, and the date it applies. Cancelling stops renewal; your access and data handling after the paid period are explained before you confirm.
What is the refund policy?
Refund terms are confirmed in writing when your plan is set up. If you have a question about a charge, email us and we will sort it out.
How long is evidence kept?
Screenshots and recordings you make in the browser stay on your device unless you upload or attach them. Uploaded evidence is kept according to your plan, with longer retention on Pro and above and custom retention on Business plans.
How are testing services priced?
Separately from the platform. The prices shown are starting ranges for small, clearly scoped engagements. You receive a written quote with the scope, deliverables, and acceptance criteria before any work begins.
Is there a discount for buying the Platform and Services together?
Not automatically. Combined engagements are planned together, and any commercial terms are agreed case by case.
Data and security
Where is my data processed?
Utilities such as the JSON, PDF, encoding, and image tools process data in your browser. Features that need a server, such as sending API requests, scheduled runs, and team workspaces, store and process data on Testnir servers. Our privacy policy has the details.
How are team secrets handled?
Team secrets are encrypted and resolved on the server when a request is sent. Their values are not sent to the browser.
What happens to the information I submit when booking a demo?
We use it to reply to your request and plan the conversation. Please do not include passwords, credentials, or confidential customer data in the form.
